AbingTHON is a non-profit, annual fundraiser consisting of an 8-hour, no-sitting event. The participants are high school students (grades 9-12), who raise a minimum amount in order to participate. Throughout the school year, student captains work diligently to solicit donations throughout the year to benefit multiple charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region.
Several families have graciously joined our AbingTHON family, and they spend time with us during the event to share their experiences with pediatric cancers. At the end of the evening, student captains announce the total amount of money fundraised and donated throughout the course of the entire year. Last year we raised over $52,000!
